Start Of Space Capsule Postponed Because Of Moldy Mouse Food

Because of moldy mouse food, the US space company SpaceX on Tuesday has canceled the unmanned
cargo ship to the International Space Station ISS at planned at short notice. “The launch was
postponed to Wednesday because mold was found on the mouse food,” reported the US space agency
NASA.

About 40 mice are to be brought aboard the space capsule “Dragon” to the ISS. There, the effect
of microgravity on the immune system of the animals will be investigated. In total, the cargo
ship has loaded 2500 kilograms of food and other equipment. The planned flight for Wednesday
will be the 16th SpaceX mission on behalf of NASA.
